  • Provision of radars for the modernization of the Navy’s costal radar chain.
  • Provision of a Digital Selective Call System (DSC) for the Global Maritime Distress System (GMDSS) to the Argentinian Navy, in order to furnish the Naval Base in Mar del Plata.
  • Provision by tender award of a communication recording system for AFE’s (State Railway Administration) telephone network.
  • Provision of the 100% of the Inmarsat C communication terminals to the Uruguayan Navy.
  • Provision to DNC of two land mobile stations for communications via Inmarsat, awarded by tender, and which were donated to the Uruguayan Army for its peace missions maneuvers for the United Nations.
  • Provision and installation of the fishing and navigation electronics in the 100 meters length fishing vessel TOP OCEAN.
  • Continues the provision of radiobeacons to the Uruguayan Navy.
  • Provision of GMDSS radio stations to the “Presidente Rivera” tank vessel, owned by the Uruguayan Navy.
  • Provision of a complete voice, radio telex and CW station for the Uruguayan Navy.
  • Launching of the ORBCOMM services in Uruguay, during the Communication Show “Convergencia Mercosur”. The president Julio Maria Sanguinetti is awarded with the first operational Orbcomm communication subscriber in Uruguay.
  • Provision and installation, turnkey project, of a NAVTEX system for the Uruguayan Navy.
  • Provision and installation, turnkey project, of a Digital Selective Call System (DSC) for the Global Maritime Distress System (GMDSS) for the Uruguayan Navy and ANTEL.
  • As Orbcomm Uruguay, Aeromarine signed contracts with local VARs for the system use, starting to operate the first AVLS system (Automatic Vehicle Location System) based on Orbcomm satellite communications. At the same time, several pilot projects were conducted using the Orbcomm system, including buoy monitoring and electric meters among others.
  • Provision of the first digital TV transmitter from ROHDE & SCHWARZ in Latin America.
  • Provision of Inmarsat terminals and the corresponding communication services through Comsat for the Uruguayan Army and Navy, for their UN peace missions in Congo. Additionally, in this opportunity, 70 VHF radios, 2 MAXON/TOPAZ3, were provided as well as HF radios with radiotelex, accessories and tactical radio equipment
  • Provision through a public tender award of the VTS system, including 3 high power marine S-band radars from Litton Marine System and 3 systems including the display processors and the radar image compression systems from Denbridge Digital.
  • Provision of 3 NAVTEX receiver stations, EPIRBs and SARTs for the Navy fleet.
  • Provision of meteorological equipment from Thies-Clima to the National Weather Direction.
